Delta Separations new CUP Series

We are always looking at new extraction technologies and felt it was about time we started to review and post on some of the Companies we look at. We are very impressed with Delta Separations new CUP Series for Ethanol Extraction. Process times and quantities are very impressive for a machine coming in around $55,000.00.

The CUP 15 SERIES ETHANOL EXTRACTION SYSTEM provides the ability to extract and target botanical compounds from diverse plant species. This unique extraction technology can isolate specific botanical compounds through programmable sequences, effectively targeting the desired separation. The system combines closed-loop, cold ethanol extraction with mechanical centrifugation which ensures high-purity extractions.

The Centrifuge Utility Platform provides accurate control over important extraction variables:

  • Ethanol Residence Time
  • Basket RPM
  • Spray Wash Stripping
  • Cycle Agitation Strength
  • Plant Material Drying
  • Temperatures
  • Data Logging
  • Automatic Cycle Programming
  • Manual Cycle Programming
  • Min/Max Parameters
  • Ethernet Connection
  • System Troubleshooting
  • Cycle Tracking
  • Administrative Functions

Here are some Key Facts we like:

Production Capacity
6-10 lbs of Plant Material Per Batch (depending on mill size)
Avg. Run Time: 10 – 20 Min
Approx: 140 lbs Processing Per 8 hr Shift
Ethanol Requirement: 12 Gallons per run (Wash Mixture Can Be Used Twice)

System Control Panel Not Shown: (10”L x 8”H x 6”D)
Drive Panel Not Shown: 20”L x 24”H x 6”D

The CUP 15 offers 3 Program cycles: Spray Wash, Agitation Wash, and Spin Dry cycles. Each “program cycle” has (2) programmable Auto recipes and (1) programmable Manual recipe.

  1. System loading: A preloaded filter bag is placed into the basket and system is sealed.
  2. Program Menu: The “Spray Wash” or “Agitation Wash” program is selected on the HMI where the RPM and cycle times are set to the operator’s specifications.
  3. Ethanol Fill: Chilled alcohol is pneumatically pumped from source tank into the CUP system via inlet valve or spray nozzle.
  4. The Wash cycle: The plant material undergoes either a spray wash or an Agitated wash with a set number of bi-directional agitations aimed at extracting 98% of plant desirables.
  5. System Draining: When the wash cycle is complete, the outlet valve is opened and the system drained. The ethanol wash is pumped to a properly rated storage reservoir for further processing.
  6. Spin Dry Cycle: The “Spin Dry” menu is selected on the HMI and the drying cycle is started. The wet plant solids are spun dry of the remaining ethanol mixture within.
  7. System Unloading: Upon completion of the “Dry cycle The system is unloaded by retrieving the filter bag from the basket.

Homes Made from Shipping Containers More Affordable!

Shipping container homes are starting to pop up everywhere around the country. They’re not only more affordable but they’re durable and look like a regular home if done properly.

At Converted Containers, we have perfected the art of building homes from shipping containers. We can build you a lavish home for a fraction of the price you’d pay for a regular home.

How we do it!

You might be asking yourself how this is possible. We do it by converting water-tight shipping containers from metal structures into single crates or multi-container masterpieces for residential housing projects and office buildings. Of course, that includes outfitting units with proper ventilation, plumbing, electrical lighting and so on.

We use two standard sizes of shipping containers to build a house – one that’s 160-sq. ft. and another that’s 320-sq. ft. These can be connected or stacked to build the house of your dreams. In addition to the cost of the containers, you’ll pay for labor and for the necessary modifications needed to make the container livable.

Keep in mind, this is a job for a professional. While it’s possible to build your own shipping container home, there’s a lot of planning that goes into it such as obtaining home building permits and the hiring of architects and drafters. At Converted Containers, we take care of all of that for you.

What’s fun about building a home from shipping containers is that the skies the limit when it comes to design. It allows you to be creative. You can end up with a house that looks like one you’d find in any neighborhood or one that’s a little more modern or unusual such as a treehouse.

Shipping containers last a long time and require very little maintenance. Since all containers have been shipped over water, they’re water-tight and very durable.

One of the biggest advantages of letting Converted Containers build you a shipping container home is that they’re environmentally friendly. Steel is used in each recycled shipping container; therefore, eliminating the need for bricks, mortar and wood.

Another big advantage of a shipping container home is that they can be built incredibly fast off site and delivered to your location ready to move in to.

The future looks bright for this type of construction so ask us today about your new home of tomorrow!
